This interactive workshop is designed to equip parents with practical tools to support their child in managing anxiety using a blend of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Solution-Focused approaches. Parents will gain a deeper understanding of what anxiety looks like in children, learn to identify emotional triggers, and explore how their own responses can either escalate or de-escalate anxious behaviors.
The session will focus on teaching core DBT skills—such as emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness—adapted for children, while also using Solution-Focused techniques that help parents and children build on strengths, identify what’s working, and set small, achievable goals for change. Parents will leave the workshop with greater confidence in their ability to foster a calm, validating, and solution-oriented environment that encourages emotional growth and resilience in their child.
