Faiz Ahmed
Faiz Ahmed has a passion for basketball and developing player talent. Starting as a high school coach and an intern at Canada Basketball where he contributed to revising the nationwide coaching curriculum he now works alongside NBA and WNBA super stars honing their skills and nurturing their talents. His expertise has taken him beyond Canadian borders, coaching professional basketball in South East Asia. He helped China win silver at the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup. Now he’s heading to the Olympics in Paris after helping Team Canada win the bronze medal at the 2023 FIBA World Cup. Oh, and before all this success, he was the Youth Engagement and Outreach Coordinator here at Markham Public Library.
