Super good story. Krewe of Hunters are my favorite Heather Graham series. I stayed up late into the night to find out who the killer was.

This is a really cool book that has tons of stories and backgrounds of the old gothic and horror movies from the silent films all the way through to movies starring Vincent Price, Lon Chaney Jr., Bela Lugosi, Abbott and Costello and many others. I grew up in the 50s and 60s and my siblings, cousins and friends eagerly waited to watch these movies on weekend afternoons at the theaters and on late Saturday night TV. This book is nearly 400 pages packed with all kinds of great and scary fun pictures and information. This is a really cool book that has tons of stories and backgrounds of the old gothic and horror movies from the silent films all the way through to movies starring Vincent Price, Lon Chaney Jr., Bela Lugosi, Abbott and Costello and many others. 2nd in Cafferty & Quinn series. I enjoyed this story that is set in the New Orleans art district. It is based on murders that seem to be surrounding a painting done in the Swiss castle where Mary Shelley got the concept for Frankenstein. There are lots of twists and turns and shadowy mists. I did not suspect who the real killer turned out to be.2nd in Cafferty & Quinn series. I enjoyed this story that is set in the New Orleans art district. First book in Cafferty & Quinn series. I trudged through because I enjoy this author, but if you are expecting her regular ghost whisperer type stories like in Krewe of Hunters series, this is not it. This series is based on haunted things that cause the death of those around it. The main character, Danielle Cafferty, an ex-police officer turned P.I. named Michael Quinn and Jake Larue, his former partner from the New Orleans Police Department have to figure out what is going on. The characters are good and by the end of the book you feel like you know them. However, if this was the first Heather Graham book I picked up I may not have finished it. The second in this series, Waking the Dead is a lot better.First book in Cafferty & Quinn series. The Looking Glass Trilogy is written by Jayne Ann Krentz, #1 In Too Deep is by Jayne Ann Krentz, #2 Quicksilver is written under Amanda Quick and #3 Canyons of the Night is written under Jayne Castle.
The flow would be easier if read in order of the time frame, as 2, 1 and 3. Quicksilver tells the beginning of the Jones family takeover and restructuring of the Arcane Society. The story kept me interested and turning pages to see what would happen next. It has a good flow. I was surprised on who the villain turned out to be. I look forward to reading #3.The Looking Glass Trilogy is written by Jayne Ann Krentz, #1 In Too Deep is by Jayne Ann Krentz, #2 Quicksilver is written under Amanda Quick and #3 Canyons of the Night is written under Jayne Castle.
